Welcome to Akiko & Co. By accessing or purchasing from our website, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read carefully before placing an order.

1. General

• Akiko & Co. offers authentic vintage Japanese garments curated in South Africa.

• Each piece is a one-of-one vintage heirloom. Variations, signs of age, or imperfections are part of its uniqueness and are not considered defects.

• By using this site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or have consent from a parent/guardian.

2. Products & Availability

• All garments are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Once an item is sold, it cannot be restocked, as every heirloom is unique.

• We make every effort to display fabrics, colours, and details accurately. However, differences in screen resolution may cause slight variations.

3. Pricing & Payments

• All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR).

• Payment must be made in full before an order is processed.

• Akiko & Co. reserves the right to adjust prices, shipping fees, and promotions without prior notice.

4. Shipping & Delivery

• We ship nationwide within South Africa, and internationally on request.

• Delivery timeframes are estimates only. Akiko & Co. is not responsible for courier delays, customs clearance times, or events beyond our control.

• Free delivery applies to orders over R1500 within South Africa.

• For international orders, customs duties, taxes, and import fees are the responsibility of the buyer.

5. Returns & Exchanges

• We accept returns within 7 days of delivery. Refunds are not offered.

• Approved returns will be issued as either:

• An exchange for another heirloom, or

• Store credit for future use.

• To be eligible, the garment must be unworn, unused, and returned in its original condition and packaging. Proof of purchase is required.

• Return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility unless the return is due to an error on our part.

6. Intellectual Property

• All content on this website (including text, images, and branding) is the property of Akiko & Co.

• No content may be copied, distributed, or reproduced without prior written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

• Akiko & Co. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website.

• By purchasing, you accept responsibility for the proper care, cleaning, and use of your heirloom garment.

8. Changes to Terms

• Akiko & Co. reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time.

• Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
